these are simple. at piece of mind, we don't have many rules, at all.
1. your character. when you register, immediately fill out your profile with your character's first, middle, and last name, all lowercase. a signature is required, but not an avatar. signature graphics can not be any wider than 550 px, and not taller than 400 px. avatars can be bigger than 100x100, but we ask that they are not wider than 125 px, or taller than 300 px. all play-bys must be human, not cartoon or anime - no self play-bys.
2. in character. no god-modding, as always. we don't ask for some insane word count, but somewhere between 300 and 400 at least, would be good. there's even a word count in the post message screen, for your convenience. please try and keep up with the person you are rping with - no one wants to write 800+ words when their partner is barely doing the minimum 300.
3. limits. for now, we'll allow three characters for everyone. for every two girls, you must make one boy, and for your first three, no two can be in the same camp. after you have made your three characters, if you want to make a fourth, pm a staff member, and we will look over your existing characters' in character posts to decide whether you should have another. this is just to keep from giving you characters you won't be able to take care of.
4. pregnancy / tragedy. we ask that you refrain from getting your characters pregnant unless you ask a staff member first, though we understand that certain plots call for certain things, and if the plot's good enough, we'll allow it. as for tragedy - someone is going to get unwound or killed sometime. we understand. if you want to get rid of a character, we ask that you please consider just letting them be unwound. it would keep things neat, and we don't have to make up stories for where they've gone. if you simply have a plot where they'll be killed, that's fine too, just let us know first.
5. changing camps. it happens. it's allowed. it's encouraged, actually, because sometimes it'll make for great plots! we just ask that you talk to us about it first, so we can change your membergroup. don't make a habit of changing camps, though, because how realistic would that be, really? one or two changes over the course of your character's life on this site will be the limit.
these rules are always subject to change, though we'll let everyone know when that does happen.
